I am a self supporting minister working mainly at present in the Hanleys with Welland.
I met my husband Tony in 1963, and we enjoyed 45 happy years of marriage until his death in 2009. We have one son, John who lives and works in London.
I was born and grew up in Droitwich, so I haven’t moved very far! My parents were both churchgoers and so I had a Christian background. Apart from a brief spell of agnosticism I have always had a Christian faith.
My parents were farmers and so I’ve always felt an affinity with the farming community. I am chaplain to the Farm Community Network and regularly officiate at the Young Farmers Carol Service each year.
I trained as a nurse, and spent 26 years specialising in Mental Health, Psychotherapy and counselling. In 1988 I left nursing, gained a degree and went on to teach nursing and Psychology for the next 11years.
After moving to Hanley Swan I was encouraged to study for ordination and have recently completed 10 years in ministry.
My interests are reading, films, theatre , music and walking.
